Great Locationsubmitted by Charles P. - |Recommended: YesA beautiful community, lose to everything. Would highly recommend it. Also, great customer service at the front office.
Beautiful Landscapingsubmitted by Rosalind W. - |Recommended: YesI love living close to work, crown and other areas of interest. The people are nice enough and the office staff has always been pleasant and helpful. The only thing that I don’t like is the lack of concrete flooring bc I can hear my neighbors upstairs. Otherwise it’s a very nice place to live.

Beautiful Community, Wonderful People, Amazing Amenities, Fantastic Apartmentsubmitted by Meredith M. - |Recommended: YesI've lived in four apartments some in Northern VA and the Decoverly, by far, is the best complex I've ever lived in. I'm not trying to make sure I get my security deposit back nor am I paid to say this - I just want to let everyone know that this is THE place to live. I will start off with the few negatives I have of the place • The parking is not assigned, so that means it is first come first serve. The good spots are basically always taken from people who work from home, don't work, etc. However, there were always spots close by that never required much of a walk. The major parking problem I had was for GUESTS. I don’t recommend the guest passes at all, due to the fact that I put the wrong date on the website on accident ONCE and my boyfriend’s car got towed overnight. Just have your guests park on the sides of the street to solve this problem, there are always spots available. • Moving in was a bit of a hassle, especially for people on top floors as there are no elevators. I was on the bottom floor, luckily, but the railings for the stairs ramp made it difficult to move my larger items such as my couch and bed. • My first upstairs neighbor was very loud. You WILL hear your neighbors walk around above you and PRAY that you don't have a dog above you either. Any time the dog upstairs was excited to see its master, I heard it very clearly. I complained to the office twice about them and had to call the non-emergency police on them twice too. However, this was all on them and not at all on the office, who was very kind and the neighbor was more quiet afterwards. • The office hours are a bit annoying for someone who works a full time job. Most of the time, I visited the office on the weekends due to this, as they close at 5PM on the week days. • The maintence, as expected for an apartment, is not the best. Asking them to fix something is very easy to do, but they may take a while to get to it or not at all in one instance of me asking to fix a break in the tile in the kitchen . I also asked them to fix my toilet seat adjustment like 4 times before giving up on their capability to really fix it. We didn't have any major issues, however. • Our hot water was a bit weird. To be fair, we never contacted maintence about it. I never had hot water in my bathroom sink, and the hot water would run out pretty quick if taking a bath. Had no problems with the shower head, though. The hot water was also perfectly fine in the kitchen. On to the positives • The nature around the area is BEAUTIFUL. We had three little squirrel friends who always hung around our porch. They really do a great job keeping up the community appearance. It makes the walk to the trash bin way more enjoyable than it should. • Speaking of trash and recycling area, it is surprisingly clean and stink-free. It is not an eyesore either. • Like I mentioned in the title, the amenities are amazing, and totally worth the hefty fee for. The lap pool is FANTASTIC. No kids go in it and, for the most part, people stay out of it as soon as they see you are a serious swimmer. A lifeguard is always available too. The pool is very well-maintained and beautiful. The lifeguards are all very nice too. The gyms are also great – you get two different rooms, one weight room and one treadmill room, and both are better than a gym I paid for before I joined the complex. They are never really that packed I always went right after work and they are always clean and stink-free. They also provide water. I also used the community room, once for a party and once for hanging out, and I totally recommend it. The space is gorgeous, and outside is a grill that is free to use that would be great for a small pool party in the summer. • Now onto the apartment itself – I was in a two bedroom two bath. The living space is great for two people, as well as the kitchen. I had the master bedroom with the private bath, but the bathroom and walk-in closet are somewhat small. The room was a good size, but it is about the same size as the other bedroom with the larger, but shared, bathroom. There were plenty of windows to give the place natural light. • The porch did not have a closet which I would have liked, but is a good size. I also liked that my roommate had a separate exit from his room and the other door came with a metal pole serving as extra security. The bugs would bite us to high heaven though, and our view was not great as we were on the bottom floor. Still, the bushes in front of our space provided a bit more coverage. People WILL look in. • Our kitchen had a gas stove which was AMAZING. The only appliance that was not newly renovated was the refrigerator, which I wish was a bit bigger. Still, everything else was new and worked perfectly. I also enjoyed the laundry room being inside of the kitchen and away from the bedrooms. • Lots and lots of friendly dogs in the area, as well as very friendly neighbors. One of my neighbors would greet me and make small talk. Another helped me remove snow from my car. Another offered me their snow shovel. I’ve never seen such friendly people in an apartment complex before • The staff is SO nice too. They never seem annoyed to help you with your problems or constant questions like what I did to them when I first moved in . Highly recommend Monica, and almost all the staff, in all honesty, but Monica helped me and my roommate move in. • Snow removal and salt care was very very well done. I didn’t slip once, ever, going to my car or cleaning off my car. The complex even provides a large bucket of salt downstairs in each complex for extra care. • One of my favorite parts about the complex is that they have holiday spring summer activities. They get food trucks, hold parties, host movie nights at the tennis court, and get special food sometimes for of course It was really fun to take part in and I am going to miss it a lot. • The area is super nice, being so close to the Crown shopping center, and only one suspect of a crime was reported, by the complex ITSELF. I never had any problems with thievery with packages delivered to my apartment either, even though I highly recommend you have yours sent to the office. I am moving out due to roommate separation. Otherwise, I would most likely stay, even though the place is a bit expensive and the rent is increasing next year. If you have the dough, I say go for it, you will be very happy with your decision

Wonderful, Fantastic Place to Livesubmitted by Michelle J. - |Recommended: YesI absolutely love living in the Villages at Decoverly. I have lived here now for almost 4 years, I've lived in 2 different units, in different buildings, and I couldn't be happier. I love the high ceilings which helps control the noise coming from upstairs. The entire community feels extremely safe, and I feel comfortable walking around the complex after dark if need be. The staff are the most helpful, considerate, and understanding management that I have ever dealt with. They go above and beyond to ensure that your living experience at the Villages at Decoverly is exceptional. I know this may sound silly, but I'm almost 60 years old, I live alone, and I hope to live here for the rest of my life. Thank you Carol, Maria, and Kathy for making this community my true home.
response from property -Michelle, You make it easy for us. Thank you for the wonderful review.

Well-lit, feels safe, good staff, nice unitssubmitted by Julie M. - |Recommended: YesThe staff are very friendly and extremely helpful. I moved here from out of state without ever seeing the property and I happily renewed my lease another year. Any small maintenance issues were fixed almost immediately. The units are well-taken care of and provide a lot of natural light.

Lived Here for 3 Years, Very Satsifiedsubmitted by Meghan C. - |Recommended: YesI lived here for exactly 3 years in the same unit and I was overall very pleased with my experience. The management office staff are VERY friendly, helpful and attentive to our needs. Maintenance arrives quickly after every inquiry and leaves details of their work to the resident. The office has ample hours for help, and the online portal makes it easy to see community news or submit rent. I do believe the rent price parking availability could be improved, but the access to 270 Downtown Crown local professional areas is perfect and adds value to the experience. The area is very quiet peaceful for residents, and when I had one incident of neighbor noise from a dog, management was very considerate of my concerns and dealt with it immediately. Would recommend to anyone looking for a neighborhood near Shady Grove businesses, Rockville Bethesda.
